Intuos closes €720K round

Intuos raises €720K to advance operations and safety in non-commercial aviation

The Italian startup, headquartered in L’Aquila at the Aeroporto dei Parchi, accelerates its growth thanks to a pool of leading investors including Argo (CDP Venture Capital and the Italian Ministry of Tourism) and Techstars. The funds will be used to complete key technological developments and initiate entry into the U.S. market.

Intuos, the startup helping fleet operators grow by enhancing efficiency, safety, and compliance through an integrated platform combining operational software and patented IoT devices with machine learning-based analytics, has closed a €720K investment round.

The capital raised will enable the company to complete key technological developments and begin exploring the U.S. market, following its expansion in Europe and South Africa. At the end of 2025, Intuos signed a distribution agreement with Absolute Aviation Parts (official Textron Aviation distributor for Beechcraft, Cessna, Hawker and Textron eAviation in Central and Southern Africa).

The round was led by a group of prominent investors: Argo, the TravelTech acceleration program of the National Accelerators Network, an initiative by CDP Venture Capital in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Tourism and managed by Zest and VeniSIA; Techstars, a leading U.S. pre-seed venture capital firm; as well as club deals and business angels.

“We chose to invest in Intuos because of the strength of the founding team, which combines international managerial expertise with advanced technical capabilities in the development of proprietary patented hardware technology,” comments Giulia Fazzini, Senior Investment Manager at Zest. “Moreover, the vertical integration between IoT devices and the management software platform represents a differentiating factor in the aviation sector, which is still characterized by low levels of digitalization. Intuos has the potential to become the new standard for aviation digitalization, radically improving operational efficiency and flight safety.”

Founded in Rome with operational headquarters in L’Aquila at the Aeroporto dei Parchi, Intuos was born from the meeting of two complementary profiles: Carolina Gianardi, CEO with over 30 years of experience in business management at companies such as GE Capital and American Express, where she held roles including Head of Sales & Marketing and General Manager B2B Payment; and Vito Tedeschi, CTO with over 40 years of experience in software development and database management, having led projects handling billions of data points for Autostrade per l’Italia, Crédit Agricole, Telecom Italia, Banca d’Italia, and INPS.

Intuos: €720K round led by Argo and Techstars for the Integrated IoT and software platform for aviation fleets

Traditional non-commercial aviation software can no longer manage the sector’s growing operational complexity, leaving a critical gap in the integrated management of training, operations, and fleets.

“Non-commercial aviation is undergoing its greatest transformation. Operational complexity is growing faster than traditional aviation software can handle,” explain founders Carolina Gianardi and Vito Tedeschi. “What is missing is structured control over training, operations, and fleet management. With this round, we will complete the technological development of our platform and bring our innovation to the U.S. market, building on the experience gained in Europe and the agreement already signed in South Africa.”

The Intuos platform was designed as a single operational solution built on two components. The Manager© digitizes every aspect of aviation operations, from flight planning to fleet maintenance, centralizing all processes into one integrated platform for flying clubs, flight schools, and commercial operators.

The InFlight Data Monitoring solution combines patented proprietary IoT devices with real-time telemetry and engine performance data, transforming each aircraft into an intelligent data hub. It provides live monitoring, pilot performance analysis, and immediate anomaly detection, without the need for manual uploads.

Together, these components close the loop between what happens in flight and operational management: a unified, verifiable, and scalable cycle based on technology protected by two patents (one extended to 158 countries).

“Intuos provides fleet operators with a single platform that natively integrates hardware and software to close the gap between operational management and real in-flight performance,” the founders continue. “Thanks to our patented IoT devices and unified database powering every module, we eliminate data redundancy, ensure information consistency, and improve operational quality, allowing teams to focus on what truly matters: flying safely.”

Today, in addition to the two founders, the Intuos team includes 10 professionals under 35: eight in the tech team and two in commercial roles, one of whom is based in Canada.
