TrueScreen Secures €2.4 Million Seed Round Investment

CYSERO EuVECA, Italy's only fund dedicated to cybersecurity, robotics, and AI, promoted by AVM Gestioni SGR S.p.A. (EuVECA Società Benefit Manager), in partnership with Kilometro Rosso, the Bergamo-based scientific and technological park, has led a €2.4 million seed round investment in TrueScreen. The cybersecurity company specializes in the acquisition, certification, and management of data with legal and evidentiary value.

Recognized in 2023 by PwC Luxembourg as one of the five most promising global startups in cybersecurity, TrueScreen already serves major banks, insurance companies, and multinational organizations. Its technology ensures the authenticity and immutability of digital content such as photos, videos, screenshots, emails, signatures, and data streams. By providing legally binding and tamper-proof services, TrueScreen not only prevents data manipulation but also counters the creation of deepfakes enabled by AI.

Alongside Cysero VC, the round attracted a syndicate of strategic investors, including Smeup (via its CVC arm S2Capital), Growth Engine, Fin+Tech Accelerator (a CDP Venture Capital program for Fintech and Insurtech co-invested by Zest), Pathfinder Investor, Encelado Ventures, B-Yond Venture, and prominent business angels such as Mariano Spalletti (Managing Director of Qonto Italia) and Alessandro Petazzi (co-founder and former CEO of Musement, now TUI Musement).

The funds will bolster TrueScreen's competitive positioning both in Italy and internationally, building on the product-market fit achieved during its first two years of operation. The capital will be allocated to enhancing the company's proprietary technology, expanding SaaS product features, forging new technological and commercial partnerships, and strengthening the sales and marketing team. These efforts aim to accelerate TrueScreen’s growth and market expansion.

"The exponential evolution of technology, particularly AI, intensifies the challenge of trusting digital information, which is increasingly susceptible to manipulation," said Fabio Ugolini, CEO and co-founder of TrueScreen. "Across all social and economic domains, it will become essential to adopt solutions that ensure data reliability from the source. TrueScreen's mission is precisely this: restoring trust in digital information by equipping businesses, institutions, and individuals with advanced tools for managing trustworthy data. This funding will enable us to solidify our market position and further accelerate our growth. The strong backing of such esteemed investors validates our vision, strategy, and technology."

Founded in 2022 by Fabio Ugolini and Giuseppe Travasoni, TrueScreen employs patented forensic data acquisition technologies to secure and manage information effectively across various applications, including insurance, banking, real estate, logistics, journalism, and private use cases. The platform is particularly valuable wherever data holds economic, legal, or social significance, ensuring authenticity and immutability to prevent fraud, disputes, and misinformation.

Trusted by multinationals, system integrators, consultancy firms, and public administrations, TrueScreen offers a SaaS solution accessible via mobile apps and a web platform, with seamless API and SDK integration options. It guarantees data authenticity, process efficiency, and compliance with international regulations.
